Here are the latest photographs of Lavonne's Gardens.
November 6, 4.5 inches of snow. The gardening season is over.
This is what we woke up to this morning. The first snow (Oct. 22), more snow promised for tomorrow.
The grass was nearly all white, but before I got the photograhs taken some had melted.
This flower is a Holyhock. Note the delicate color. The photograph was taken Sept. 15th.
The first photograph (An orange Hibiscus) was taken Sept. 3. Lavonne has wintered this Hibiscus through several winters. It is doing very well.
The second photograph taken Sept. 7 is a new variety of MorningGlory. It is difficult to make out, but note that the leaves are varigated.
These photographs were taken August 31. They feature a couple of photographs of Lavonne's Giant Hibiscus. These are very large flowers (6 to 8 inches in diameter) and are currently on full display.
Oh-- Look for the bee and the grasshoper. They posed for a photograph.
The first two were taken Aug. 6, the second two were taken Aug. 17.

The first is of a Clematis by the Garden Shed. The Second, Moss Roses in front of the garage. They thrive in the heat.

May 24, 2013: The flowering crab and the Schwedler are in full spring color.
May 24, 2013: The flowering crab, it is also called the "blizzard". The name arises from the way it looks when the wind is blowing and the flowers are dropping from the tree.
Lavonne's tulips are adding a splash of color to the front yard. The color adds to the feeling of spring.
These are Pasque Flowers, South Dakota's State Flower.
A sample from the Flowering Almond. The flowers are pretty but delicate.
