Worship - Join Us!
Worship is our time to gather as a community of faith, to nurture our souls, stimulate our minds, and focus our energies for the week ahead. We gather in an inspiring, high-ceilinged sanctuary brightly wrapped in natural sunlight and the colors of the seasons.

Singing, fellowship, movement, and a sense of easy welcome permeate our worship time together.

We worship each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. and conclude each service with a festive (and filling!) time of coffee, treats, and visiting.

We are often joyous and celebratory in worship, but there are times when we are meditative and serious. Our worship is full of variety, as we seek to help many different kinds of people to know God and be strengthened in their individual lives.

Children and youth frequently participate in worship - singing, reading scripture, lighting candles, taking offering, laughing - as an integral part of our worshipping community.

We love having children of all ages in worship, but we also have a "Family Room" adjacent to the sanctuary to which parents and children may retire if your little one's "squirminess" becomes a bit too much for you. This room has a window onto the sanctuary and an audio speaker - so you still feel a part of the worship service - but it's a child-friendly area with books, toys, rockers, and more.

Our worship is visitor-friendly and easy to follow. Because we have lots of new people, we give frequent directions; so you can relax and not worry about what comes next. We serve
open communion the second Sunday of each month, and all are welcome to participate, whether you belong to church or not.

We use primarily gender-free language for God and inclusive language in the prayers, sermon, and hymns we share. For example, we say "people" instead of "men," recognizing the subtle and profound effect of language on our thought processes. We use
The New Century Hymnal, which offers a broad range of hymns with a wide array of metaphors to help us broaden and deepen our image of God. Hymns from many cultures are included, reflecting the multicultural nature of humanity, and of the United Church of Christ.

There is a wide diversity of theology and backgrounds among our members, and a high level of intellectual curiosity. No matter who, no matter what, no matter where you are on life's journey, you are invited and welcome to join us on this path we are traveling together.
