Sigl Farm visit: Sept. 18, 2021. These photos are of a 1949 John Deer Tractor, two cylinders, magneto ignition, high and low range transmission. To start: set the manual choke, open the petcocks and spin the fly wheel. Once it fires, close the choke, and petcocks. It has a hand clutch. No power steering. I spent many hours operating this tractor.
