Customer Originated Trace lets you automatically trace an obscene or threatening phone call and delivers the number to local law enforcement.
Note: This feature has already been added to every Swiftel number and to most numbers that appear on Centrex business sets, and is for use if you wish to prosecute a caller for violating South Dakota Codified Law 49-31-31. The traced number will be delivered ONLY to law enforcement, where it may be used as evidence. You will be charged $4.00 whether or not you follow up with authorities.
Instructions: If you receive a call you would like to trace, hang up. Then, pick up the phone and dial *57.
