Program my STB remote to control my television with the TV button.

  • Turn on the television.
  • On the STB remote, press and release the TV button.
  • Press and hold the Setup button until the button blinks twice and then release.
  • The TV button will stay lit. Press the Power button once.
  • Aim the STB remote at the television and press and release the Channel Up button to begin the auto scan process. The TV button will blink every 10 seconds.
  • If the television turns off, a working code has been found. Immediately press the OK button once in the middle of the STB remote to lock in the code. The TV button will blink twice.
  • If no working code is found for your television, the TV button will blink fast 7 times and the search    will be terminated. The STB remote is not set to control your television.

OR

  • Locate the correct codes for your television model in the Set Top Box manual, or on-line at your television manufacturer’s website.
  • Turn on the television.
  • On the STB remote, press and release the TV button.
  • Press and hold the Setup button until the button blinks twice and then release.
  • The TV button will stay lit. Enter the 4 digit device code on the remotes keypad. The TV button will blink twice.
  • Aim the STB remote at the television and press the Power button. The television should turn off. If it does not turn off, then your television model cannot be programmed into the remote, you will need to use the original television remote to control it.

Program my STB remote to work with other devices.

  • Turn on the device.
  • On the STB remote, press and release the AUX button.
  • Press and hold the Setup button until the button blinks twice and then release.
  • The AUX button will stay lit. Press the Power button once.
  • Aim the remote at the device and press and release the Channel Up button to begin the auto scan process. The AUX button will blink every 10 seconds.
  • If the device (the STB device?) turns off, a working code has been found. Immediately Press the OK button in the middle of the remote once to lock in the code. The AUX button will blink twice.
  • If no working code is found for your device, the AUX button will blink fast 7 times and the search will be terminated. The STB remote is not set to control your device.

OR

  • Locate the correct codes for your auxiliary device model in the Set Top Box manual or on your device manufacturer’s website.
  • Turn on the device.
  • On the STB remote, press and release the AUX button.
  • Press and hold the Setup button until the button blinks twice and then release.
  • The AUX button will stay lit. Enter the 4 digit device code on the remote. The AUX button will blink twice.
  • Aim the remote at the device and press the Power button. The device should turn off; if it does not turn off then you will need to use the original device remote to control it.

Program the STB Remote to control the TV volume, mute, and power with the STB button.

 –For the Hydra or Amulet

With the STB remote, it is possible to control your TV’s power and volume from the STB button on the remote.  Once your remote is able to control your TV’s power and volume when you press the TV button you can then lock these functions with the STB button so you never have to press the TV button again in order to power up or control the volume on your TV.  To lock the TV and STB buttons together in this manner, follow these steps:

  • On the STB remote:
  • Press the STB button.
  • Press and hold the SETUP button for 10 seconds or until the STB button blinks 3 times.
  • Press the POWER button and then the “1” key.  The STB button will blink 7 times.
  • Press the STB button and then press the VOLUME UP OR DOWN button and verify the TV’s volume goes up or down accordingly.  Press the POWER button and verify the TV turns off.
    If all functions work correctly then you will be able to control the Set Top Box and the TV functions at all times by pressing the STB button on the remote.

Program an extra/replacement remote for the Hydra Multi-Stream STB to the correct stream.

  • Make sure the RF antenna is securely attached to the ‘Remote Antenna’ port on the back of the STB, then:
  • Press and hold the OK button on the front of the STB for 10 seconds. When you release the button the STB display will read ‘RC REG’.
  • Press and hold the STB button on the remote for 10 seconds. The STB button will light up and remain lit. Release the STB button.
  • Press and release the STB button on the remote. Both the STB and AUX buttons will light up.
  • On the remote-
  • Press ‘1’ to program the remote to stream 1 or
  • Press ‘2’ to program the remote to stream 2 or
  • Press ‘3’ to program the remote to stream 3
  • The STB button on the remote will blink twice to indicate success.
  • The display on the STB will flash ‘RC REG D#’ with the stream number to indicate success.
